It's been a while.

It's been a long time since I wrote in this, but it also feels like no time at all. We're in our 5th week of rehearsal, and there's only 16 days until the show! I definitely wish we had more time, but it's weird - I have plenty of time when I'm not doing anything (like right now) that could be spent working on the show if only the kids didn't have all this other stuff to do (like school). Lame. Anyway, it's basically work really hard and then don't do anything. Rinse and repeat.

The acts are starting to come together though, and that's super exciting. Last week I was freaking out, because half of them still had no idea what they were doing (okay, some idea, but not enough) but this week has been going much better (so far). Even the 8th grade pyramid act, which has been stressing me out from the beginning, worked fairly smoothly yesterday. The little things are still being bothersome though, like the fact that I know we have tutus somewhere but I can't seem to find them in the costume closet. Or that I bought a bunch of clown noses, but my clowns' real noses aren't the sizes I thought they were, so now I have to buy different ones and probably return the ones I have. Or having a ton of long pants for the stilts, but none that match. Luckily I have a pretty good team of parents to help me solve these problems, but it's still annoying.

On the brighter side, Namara is coming to visit on Thursday night! He had airline money that had to be spent by March, so I get to bring him to school with me on Friday and have him witness the chaos that is my first rehearsal with both classes together. o_O

Hope all is going well for everyone reading this! Update your blogs too - I want to hear what's going on in your lives!
